If you're reading this, I'm dead. I died as a result of logging on to American Apparel's
site. It wasn't all that bad in the beginning. I experienced mild hemorrhaging of the brain and bowels when I saw the clothes on their amazing sight and I think the final nail on my coffin was looking at their ad campaigns. The bullets of brillian photography, quirky posing and cool cheap clothes puked all over me and now I am in the advertising afterlife. So inspired. It's 1.34 am.

wow!
i love the clothes, always have, but hate their advertising. the one campaign they were running that i thought was decent was raisng awareness of cheap mexican labour, gay rights and the importance of shopping local. otherwise, It's too much. Too much sex. Not enough clothes.
I was having a conversation with a friend about it yesterday and she was also saying she thinks it's too much sex. I get that, I just don't really care. I like the way that you wouldn't expect this much sex sell from such basic cute clothes but I feel like the models own the moments, they don't seem like victims of some sordid man's agenda. They are not like Terry Richardson's subjects - these ones want to be in these shots. It's powerful!
