And the living is easy folks. Some of these, like that white skirt have almost sold out at Mememe Joburg. We secretly put them in the shop to see how they would do and we have one left but a variety of other colours. This is just a teaser for what's coming from her. I can't wait to see what's new from other designers for the overly anticipated summer season! We just opened a box with 3 sizzling leopard print dresses from Sitting Pretty as well as some Black Coffee concept dresses. We will receive some more new stock from Doreen on Monday!

She is the new face of Estee Lauder, no surprises there. I would totally understand if I was cheated on and she was the other woman. Like totally. Industrie

I almost wet myself when I discovered Self Service Magazine today. First and last because of the name. Enjoy. I did. Forever.
The Blogger's Dinner
Sunday, July 24, 2011
Thursday was just a good day. After the MTV Base interview, I rushed to the shop to help with the blogger's dinner preparations. Here's what happened. Thank you to KWV Wines for sponsoring the event. We had such a good time.

Meeting Hugh Masekela
Of all the things I have been fortunate enough to receive or come across as a result of having this blog, meeting Hugh Masekela is without a doubt the best. MTV Base has a new show called MTV Base Meets with MTN, a programme where African youths interview world leaders and influential personalities such as Sir Richard Branson, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia and Nigerian entertainment mogul Ben Bruce (Mondays at 8.30 on Channel 322). I was invited to be one of five youth panelists that had an opportunity to interview Hugh Masekela and boy did I love it. The shoot was at the breathtaking Moyo Zoo Lake gardens on a crisp, clear Thursday morning coloured by beautiful white ducks. The man is amazing to say the least. He is 72 but talks as if he is a mere 27 with wildly vivid tales of his incredible life that had everybody in stitches.
The other panelists, Zubs, Photographer and drummer for The Fridge, Ade, stylist Patricia and comedian Mojak |

Although this was not a fashion event, there's always room for the love of fashion - like how much I loved Patricia's boots |

Dinner Time
Thursday, July 21, 2011
Tonight I'm hosting what started out as a blogger's dinner at 54 on Sixth, the home of Mememe and Two, but has now turned out to be a bloggers and writer's dinner. It's obviously a team effort with Gina, Caren and Kp from Two having done some wonderful things to ensure that tonight is a success. Oh and of course the food. We are going to keep it simple but delish food wise. Cara de Kock of KOS is preparing a large, hearty coconut chicken, red pepper, yellow pepper and red onion stew as well as a courgette, green pepper, butternut and new potato stew amongst other delicious goodies. Don't even ask me about the dessert. I get chocolate brain freeze just thinking of that dessert we are going to eat. We will be drinking all sorts of delicious wine thanks to the lovely people at KWV Wines. Why are we doing this? Just because. Will post pics of the evening tomorrow, as I'm sure my guests will too. p.s. I've always wanted to share this. A lot of people get confused between the spelling of dessert and desert. The former is the kind that you eat. The latter is where you would be if you were anywhere in the Saraha, Namib and the general Middle East. My Std 3 teacher taught me this distinction - you always want to have more dessert so that's when you add the extra s.
Have yourselves a good day mense.

I love cool invitations. I'm not a sports gear kinda girl but when I received this invitation to attend an Adidas launch next week, I immediately said y.e.s! Adidas at Melrose Arch is officially launching the Adibus. I have no idea what the Adibus will do but I'm interested to find out. Plus guests get 45% off Adidas merch that day.
