For the love of Uni

I wonder if this trend will ever hit our shores.  The traditional varsity jacket is very American.  University boys used to wear them in the 50s and still, today they are the archetypal symbol for jocks,  fraternities or baseball players and fans. Now, American designers, including one Chloe Sevigny, have made their own versions of this classic American apparel.  I think I could rock some of these:

Nike

Tommy Hilfiger

Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

Henrik Vibskov

Maharishi

Escada

Balmain

Topshop. This is by far my favourite and it's the cheapest at $80

Varsity jackets are a staple in street wear, they have been on our streets for a while now.

I guess that's why I'm not a streetwear specialist. Come to think of it, I have actually seen people wearing them on our shores
