I know that my last couple of posts have been about Mememe in every sense of the expression! I'm not usually one to talk about myself too much in front of others but hey, you don't open a shop everyday now do ya? Mememe and Two stores finally officially opened last Wednesday night during an incredible and well attended launch party at the store. As they entered the duck shell green and dusty pink walled spaces, our guests were treated to a delicious glass of Pongracz, fast tracking their trip into Joburg's newest shopping heaven.
After oohing and ahhing at the clothes and accessories made with a lot of love by various South African designers, they were pleasantly surprised at the festivities in the backyard, lit with lanterns and the flickers of candles on lilypads in the swimming pool! We must have had good food if people were tweeting about it, and the party must have been really good if guests were calling random people to come over. I must say, my favourite part of the night was seeing people's faces every time I popped open yet another one of the 80 bottles of Pongracz that turned the night into a great succcess. Thanks to everyone who came, drank, danced, shopped and fell in the pool that night. Here's to many wonderful days of shopping. Ok, enough about the store until we have our first event towards the end of the month. I'm looking forward to tuning into what's been happenening in the rest of the world.
