I have had the honour of being in contact with everything-she-touches-is-amazing Frauke Stegmann this week, because of her beautiful work. She is a Cape Town based artist/graphic designer and maker of wonderful objects, some of which Doreen is bringing up to Mememe Joburg to sell (amen) tomorrow!
She's made posters, t-shirts, restores old porcelain items from the Milnerton Market in Cape Town and makes it into beautiful crockery like the objects above! She ''started out'' doing work for Prada, Miu Miu and branched out as a freelancers and since then, some of her clients include designer Peter Jensen, Wallpaper Magazine and Campana Brothers. Oh and she used to own my favourite Cape Town eatery, Birds Cafe. I mean really.
